Can you help by donating a bit of your time?

The East Yorkshire Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England was in imminent danger of winding up due to loss of almost the entire Executive Committee. This is mainly as a result of illness, advancing age or members moving to other counties in the UK.

Luckily, following a call out for help published in the Hull Daily Mail, the Branch received a fantastic response for the positions of Chairman and Secretary which will enable it to continue it's valuable work for East Yorkshire. However, in addition to these, the Branch would welcome applications for committee members and volunteers from locations across East Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Wolds to help us keep up to date with developments around the region.

There is now, more than ever, a need for an organisation to protect the interests of rural areas, villages and towns from the increasing threat to green field sites and green belts from the huge demand by Government for more housing. CPRE has successfully been doing this for almost 100 years, and is the only campaign group still doing this in England today.

Anyone interested in joining the CPRE committee or volunteering to help our campaigns, please contact - CPRE, 11 Plum Tree Road, Sproatley, Hull or telephone 01482 814407.

Thank you on behalf of CPRE.
